Why do people use the word overrated? People rate things best on how good they feel the movie/game/book etc is. All the art forms are so subjective that words like overrated suggest arrogance because of how subjective art is.

If you missed the first ten minutes, you could think this was a romcom. So good-bad. By the end, you're almost rooting for him, even though he's the cause of his own misery.
I didn't like it very much (too long, forgetable and not inetersting etc.), but I too think that calling a movie overrated is a bit stupid (even though, I did that several times). I understand why people who like gangster movies in general like this one, but it's just not my genre.
