So so boring... Cheap wine philosophy, uninteresting characters, long pointless dialogs... Even in a bad day I've more interesting conversations than that. I had a hard time finishing it. Just terrible.
I saw this movie once and i founded really boring. I gave it a second chance (this time in another kind of mood) and i just find it a little bit funny at some parts. I feel it was a little pretentious and way boring to me. But that's just me, there are 478 favs up there until now. So give it a try or two :) ( though it didn't worked for me).
This movie is terrible. After I watched it I felt completely disappointed. The characters weren't complex, the characters were totally random and undefined. The dialogues? So poor. It didn't make you feel anything, nothing, it's empty, deprived of feelings. The only good thing in it was the wine. I suppose it could also have nice landscapes but no, they didn't go that far.
Sideways is an absolute gem of a film! It has effortlessly secured its place as one of my all-time favorites. The acting performances are nothing short of brilliant, capturing the nuances of the characters with such authenticity. Kudos to the incredible director for masterfully weaving together a story that is both poignant and entertaining.
One aspect that struck a deep chord with me is how much I resonated with the main character. His journey of self-discovery, flaws, and vulnerabilities felt so relatable and human. It's rare to find a film that touches your heart in such a personal way, and Sideways achieved just that.
Overall, I can't praise this film enough. It's a true masterpiece that showcases the power of storytelling, exceptional acting, and the genius behind the camera. Sideways will forever hold a special place in my cinematic repertoire.
A friend of mine told me to watch this movie and I liked it. I think Paul Giamatti is great and I don't understand all the negative comments here. No, this is not a fast-cut-mad-action movie, it is just a road movie with some wine references and the tale of a midlife crisis.
Great movie, with two excelent actors, Paul Giamatti´s performance was really good but for me the star of the movie is Thomas Haden Church, he was so funny but at the same time very credible.
The Sript is very good, it have comedy, romance and drama, this movie is very funny but it deals with a lot of drama, envolving life, love and depression of it.
