I loved the first one, but this one was just terrible. The pacing was nonexistent, the plot was full of holes, Sean Bean's accent was all over the place, and there weren't nearly enough monsters. The first one didn't have a ton of monsters either, but they used them sparingly to good effect. This one just had too many humans.

The first one was good because it left a lot of ambiguity on the screen. The franchise holders tried to overcorrect with this one by over-explaining everything.

Really underwhelming movie. The first film wasn't great but certainly had its scary moments. Silent Hill: Revelation kept building up to scary moments that didn't exist.
