Living in Florida all my life, the Everglades City part reminded me so much of friends of mine that I felt completely nostalgic for a time and location that I was never a part of. I also liked the trick during the Black Tuna portion where they (spoiler) interviewed the fatter guy in his old house; I assumed he made it out okay and squirreled away some money since he was being interviewed in an oceanfront villa, but in reality he probably lives in a $300/mo apartment that his wife pays for (/spoiler). I wasn't a huge fan of a lot of the directing and camera work, and I found myself assuming that a lot of the anchorman soundbites were present-day voiceovers recorded in lieu of a narrator, but I found all three stories to be fascinating enough to stand on their own. 12 years ago
