What the hell kind of adaptation was that? The comic is considered one of the greatest storylines about superman ever told. And what do we get? A pure American propaganda take on the comic.Mark Millar explicitly said he didn't want the comic to be used for propaganda purposes. There is absolutely no way he okayed this mutilation of his magnum opus.
The dialogue was clunky and superman was turned into a murderer just so the American audience could sympathise with Lex Luxor. The manic Lex Luthor from the comic, obsessed with Superman, and his relationship with Louis isn't the falling apart one from the comic.
This really could have done with being a 5/6 episode series, staying true to the comic and with none of the American propaganda nonsense.
Way to massacre a great comic you idiots. Hopefully, this team will never work on another comic book adaptation again.
And taking wonder woman as superman's love interest and turning her into a lesbian just to be 'woke', genuinely ridiculous. If completely ruins the intimate relationship that they had and makes their 'break up' flat in the movie.
The comic book ending was supposed to make you really think and not be America equals good and communism equals bad.
Do yourself a favour, just read the comic and avoid this movie.
