I love this movie, it kind of fell between the cracks but it really is worth checking out for anyone looking for a good 80s comedy

Personally, this film is impressive for me at the moment. Figuring life after graduation is kinda a big deal. Michelle Tranchtenberg was freaky as always. Teresa Palmer looked a bit like KStew, only in blonde.

[3/10] Senseless, boring and generic. [3/10]

Cute movie, with lack of great script. However, Topher Grace is always precious.

Why did it have to be set in the 80's? Such a random gimmick...

nice feelgood movie, something in the same vein as Varsity Blues but with great 80's tracks

Destined to be an under appreciated gem, Take Me Home Tonight fails at times to fully realize its best intentions amidst genre cliche, but skates by on genuine charm and plenty of laughs. Topher Grace is charismatic as the nerd who gets the girl and we root for him to do so. Teresa Palmer smolders as "ther girl" but manages to be more than a pretty face by bringing presence and life to a character that for all intentions could have been as flat and superficial as the decade the film is set in. Dan Fogler provides brillaint comedic timing and helps deflate the film when it starts to take itself too seriously. A genuine and hearty recommendation for a film that's getting a lot of poor press.
