i won't lie-- i've got a crush on susan sarandon. even made up as an elderly version of herself, i loved seeing her on screen. unfortunately even my rose-coloured, heart-shaped lenses could not ignore the safe, listless comedy within. a dash of shmaltz, a pinch of almost-chemistry, and nothing much in between to hold it together.
