Torgo
Astonishing image and sound quality on the DVD considering this is a 1935 film! The film itself also comes off as being a decade and a half newer. Nice tempo, the remarkable character of Sazen Tange and some comedic tone make up for a 30's gem which apparently almost ended up into obscurity. Nice that Sadao Yamanaka is being rediscovered (?); I could see how Akira Kurosawa draw some inspiration from (t)his work.Nine99
