You might be shocked to what this movie brings to the table, but it's brutal in its own truth. So many layers to this - from the darkness of NY's streets to the journey through Travis' mind - hatred, helplessness, disappointment. It's intense. The ending was not what I expected, but still a great movie nonetheless. Could watch it every week.

i didn' think the story was really going anywhere. i mean it was great directing, great acting and some stuff was just happening and it seemed like a decent enough movie. nothing really special...

then BAM BAM BAM

that's both the sound of guns in the movie and my brain exploding with all the metaphors and hints thrown at me and i was amazed by just how good the last 15 mins made it. we find out jut how twisted and destroyed this guy's brain is. an amazing movie and a must watch for any film fan.

9/10

Can't believe I waited this long to see this, but it is an instant favourite of mine.

The whole thing was stylish and thrilling. Absolute best scene involved Scorsese, I'm sure you all know what I mean.

I was really satisfied with the outcome of the film too. De Niro at his most intense and most brilliant. I never realised Cybill was such a foxy young girl.

So wait does anyone have questions spoiler by any means? :D And that spoiler, does that make any sense at all?

It was a wonderfully told story, but if it's meant to be believable -- no sir!

I finally got the chance to watch this on a lazy sunday afternoon. Perfect match and quite good, even though it was not what I had excepted it to be.

Good movie, because of the story, and because of De Niro

After just watching it I was initially tempted to say that it was overrated (hate throwing that word around). It took me a while to get into Taxi Driver, but by the end it did feel quite powerful.

I think that on a second viewing I would appreciate this much more. De Niro was great.

My favourite film. De Niro's is one of the most outstanding performances in Western Cinema.
