Admittedly somewhat over-the-top on first watch, but holds up ceaselessly to repeated viewings. Deceptively subtle, if anything I think it's underrated.

I don't get why people like this movie. This movie is atrocious. The characters are just maniacal.The main characters are just so bland. Most of the characters are so obnoxious. The people don't even bother defending themselves, they just run around flailing. The first one hour was a total bore, the second hour wasn't really that interesting or suspenseful either and the ending was just horrible. 1/10

Joker of Gotham

I didn't like this movie. This is not scary at some times it looks like a comedy.
Why are the birds attacking, why the people insist to be outside, why it is this movie so stupid?

As for the ending, it is rather sloppy indeed, but if you try and think what meaning may be imparted by the image of countless birds against the rising sun, it's no sweat to realize its true value.

You know what always irks me about the more "straight" Hitchcock movies, like North by Northwest, and the beginning of this film, and Rope (no pun on "straight" intended)? They are horribly written. This film takes half an hour to get properly started. Blergh.
