Does not live up to the great films that preceded it, mostly thanks to the lack of a compelling villain. Eastwood and Daly's chemistry carries this one, and I'm glad they didn't slouch and give this one a happy ending.

Fun and violent sequel to Dirty Harry. Daly and Eastwood make a great pair. What;s lacking is a good villian.

While it doesn't have a real catchphrase or particularly memorable showdown with a "punk", it has a much tighter plot structure than the first two films. The real reason to watch it though is Tyne Daily as Harry's Lady Cop partner. She's wonderful in this early role, which doubtless played a part in the creation of Cagney & Lacey. The theme of bureaucratic impediments carries from the other films right to a comico-tragic ending.

The best partner Harry has had so far, spoiler Other than that, it isn't as good as the previous films, but still very enjoyable.

Fairly enjoyable if slightly unremarkable. Entertaining enough for what it is.

They say a hero is only as good as his villain(s). Somehow I can't get behind a bunch of random punks running around town with bazookas. Tyne Daly is a nice addition but since the movie doesn't focus a whole lot on anything in particular, the character development is kind of wasted. The scenes focusing on forced gender equality in the workplace regardless of skills/experience were rather chilling (and prophetic.) Those, plus a few quippy and angry one-liners from Harry are about all the movie has going for it. Once again like the previous movies the nudity is shoehorned in like a box being checked off. I still don't get that.
