This is what I imagine sex with Carmen Electra to be like; I've waited and salivated for ages, but the same years have taken their ugly toll. What used to be flattering, even sexy, is now a complete turn-off and it's obvious that she's suffering through the act only to please me - sans success. I've moved on. Even all the expensive, and poorly executed, make-up can't save this baby and thus I sit, unsatisfied, to watch Van Damme steal the show before I can admit how terrible it all was. I cry.

Puns. Puns everywhere.

So over the top, it became very amuzing. Worth the watch with some friends at home.

Fun, chaotic and entertaining. Although Jet Li disappears in like 2 minutes and Randy Couture is like an invisible man. But i appreciated all the quotes between Stallone, Schwarzy and Willis.

Loved it. Didn't take it seriously and got what I hoped for.

Right, it's not Oscar worthy. Like wayyy far off ... but despite the simple storyline, bad storytelling, terrible puns and one liners, OTT explosions, questionable logic in the story, predictability ... how can you not enjoy a no-brain-activity-needed action movie with all your favourite action heroes? Like the first, I enjoyed it but with all those big shot movie stars and nearly limitless budget, I wish it had more content. Fave bits? The references to iconic characters that were played by the actors. Unfortunately, if it wasn't for the big names and their pull, this movie would be a great contender for a razzie.

spoiler oh come on, how original is that? ... This flimsy story (actually none at all) is apparently an excuse to get a more-than-full-previous-generation-cast doing some action scenes and some really bad jokes on their old movies. 1,5 hours of nothing new and nothing is sticking, 5 minutes later you only remember that you've seen it, but that's it....

Great fun. I enjoyed the first one too but this one does basically everything a bit better. Also awesome to see Arnold and Bruce get into the action as well as a larger focus on paying homage to the old school.

I was watching The Expendables 2 for JCVD (who is barely in it and by virtue of being the villain - Jean Villain, in fact, because the nomenclature in these films is high camp - he can't be too cool or effective) and, to some degree, Jason Statham, the action hero who is still relevant even now. I wasn't a big fan of the original, and this one is much the same. It's got action gags of note here and there, a good line from time to time, and Stallone gives himself some haggard, soulful stuff to say, but it's no longer enough just to bring every iconic action star ever into the fold for a potential audience squee. In fact, they sort of go in and out and of the story based on their availability rather than any kind of story logic. The banter is largely unfunny, call backs to catch phrases, etc., the nadir of which is Chuck Norris telling a well-known Chuck Norris joke. Oof. I cringed rather than cheered. As for the action, I felt quite disconnected from it, as I often do when it's just senseless machine guns and CG blood spatter.

Much bigger cast, action, and jokes than the first one. Though Norris and Van Damme's acting was less than average and Colture, Crews, and Lundgren's role felt really minor.

This movie is fun to watch. Chuck Norris is a "fresh air" when the film is going to be dull. This movie has lack depth of characters, and simple plot/ story line.
The acting is so so. Nothing special.

If you love 80's action movies, and want to nostalgic with 80's era, Expendables 2 is for you. But if you don't,just skip it.

My favorite out of all three. Great humor and action. Chuck Norris for the win! Too bad Jet Li wasn't part of the main action.
