I really like this film and understand the hype, but man do I hate Marlon Brando. I hate him and hate him some more, the over rated bastard. Anyway, Robert Duvall is the star of the show for me but kudos to James Caan. Pacino looks fabulous with that bruise under his eye. I like Diane Keaton but I HATE her in this film. If her character hadn't been in it nothing would have changed, she just wasn't important and the acting was bad. The Coppola family are keystones in the film-making industry and this is just another great example of that.
in my point of view i don´t think that this is my kind of movie, I like more other types of movie I was expecting to like it more, I´m going to see the second part and expect that will change my opinion, but it is a great movie

People call Citizen Kane the best movie ever made. I understand where they're coming from, but I consider this masterpiece 10x better than Kane. It's my #1 best movie of all time. It's fantastic. I can't describe how much I love it.
In this viewing of The Godfather, I was determined to find a flaw, one flaw, any flaw, and I did. I found one. In the scene where Sonny beats Carlo in the street, he throws a punch that doesn't land and looks blatantly fake, and yet Carlo reacts. Ruined the whole goddamned movie for me. 6/10.
One of the greatest movies of all time! Terrific in all departments.
Saw the movie yesterday in the cinema. The 50th anniversary edition looks and sounds great. Can't wait for the whole rilogy on 4k Blu ray. But watching this classic on the big screen.........amazing!!!!!!
