It's hard to believe this is still only available on VHS. Farnsworth delivers an understated, classy and occasionally menacing performance. The film on the whole is effectively simple, with a sense of authenticity, but with just enough embellishment to emphasize the somewhat mythic character of the outlaw hero Miner. The train robberies reminded me quite a bit of the ones in The Assassination of Jesse James, so I wonder if this film made an impression on its director.
