Very cheesy and uninteresting in my opinion. Cookie-cutter plot and characters

The last fifteen minutes of this are absolutely spectacular. The music and cinematography come together to create a flawless and dialogue-less sequence that can only be done in film. One of the greatest movie endings ever.

The rest is not on the same level, but still good.

I was expecting this movie to be epic.

Sadly what we get is a very outdate white american view of native americans.

Coupled with one dimensional characters, a paper thin plot, and very butchered acting.

I really didn't care about any of the characters.

Can only imagine this was something different for the era it was released in because in the 20s this movie is very outdated.

Nowhere Man

Overacting, constant cliché, simple one-dimensional characters.
Was surprised this is so highly regarded.

Rewatched tonight. As epics go, thin on plot, run of the mill. Nice and some of the best falling dummies. Lots of running. FIne score and action.

"100 Essential Westerns"

How can a story that takes place in New York in 1750 be considered a "Western"?

Exciting adventure, great drama, love story and action with one of the best movie soundtracks ever! Loved it 20 years ago and still holds up today. Blu Ray looks great

I can see the appeal of the story, setting and tone etc - but I struggled to truly engage with it... 6/10.
