Do not know why so many bad reviews. I have to say that I really liked it. It was pretty acceptable to me, much better than I expected. Mads Mikkelsen was so detestable, but cannot hate him any way. I fell in love with the cinematography and visual style of the movie.Crit93

It's an extended hot take on the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope where the MPDG doesn't just drop out of the sky fully formed to save the protagonist from his angst, but has her own past, motivations, and angst. LeBouf's character is just as much a MPD Boy for Wood's.Not the best movie in the world, but far from a disappointment.

This is the ultimate cliché. Really. Everything is recycled. There is no evidence of a new idea, of a contribution of any kind. It is not even fun or charming. It's tasteless and boring. I'd like to have my two hours back.
