Fascinating. Totally unlike anything else I've seen before from the silent era, or later ones. A bold and successful experiment. Amazing to see Australia filmed in that era too.

Apparently the titles were based on a popular poem novel of the time... with thick Australian slang. The piano scene seems to imply it followed a melody too. I wonder if the Aussies would sing along while taking down a few beers.

Fascinating from a historical perspective.
