Not bad. The movie is quite appealing and entertaining most of the time, the actors are great - I especially liked Robert Duvall as Watson. Liked the idea of Holmes meeting Freud and the whole drug issue.
There are some scenes I found a little illogical, especially for a Sherlock Holmes movie - and there are some modern film / series versions of the Holmes stories that I definitely prefer; but all in all it was sweet and interesting to watch. 9 years 1 month ago -

Robert Duvall's brilliant and silly at the same time. ;)
Larry Olivier isn't used very well as Professor Moriarty. 9 years 10 months ago -

The idea of bringing Freud and Sherlock Holmes together is excellent and the script combines rather deftly mystery with comedy. It would have benefited from a less perfunctory direction, but it is nonetheless very entertaining and one of the best entries in the Sherlock Holmes' film canon. 10 years 6 months ago
