What amazed me was that there was not one drop of dialogue in the whole of this 2-and-a-half hour movie that was superfluous. Screenwriting to die for, some beautifully shot scenes and solid performances all around. I can't believe it took so long for me to watch this!ericaf

it's an okay film but i kinda hate the fact that this is in so many Top movies list while genuinely great films like "O Padre e a Moça" are in none, or are rarely even talked about. oh well it's just the way things are i guess.bandofoutsider
An entertaining story, and fantastic direction. But the characters are so black and white, so entirely 'good' or 'evil,' that their lack of depth makes the film rather uninteresting upon repeat viewings.janalima85
