this movie's gotten some terrible reviews, so i didn't expect much going in — cheesiness, predictability, and awkward main character aside, i actually did end up enjoying it.
i don't know enough to comment on the film's accuracy where Samoan culture was concerned, and there were definitely some inaccuracies where the tattooing aspect was involved, but ... man, it was just pretty fun all around. it won't change your life, but it was eerie enough in some spots, and a very inventive premise.
