This was a really tough watch. Definitely shouldn't have watched it right before bed.
It had the ability to be really great considering the horrible, harrowing true events that it was based on but it ended up only being good, in my opinion. It was a bit messy at times and there were a few little plot holes. I mean, what the hell was Benedict Cumberbatch there for other than to boost the star names? He completely disappeared after his two short scenes.
However, 'good' it might only have been but 'good' is alot better than what I was expecting so all in all, pleasantly surprised and definitely worth a watch just to bring attention to the horrible issues it portrays. 7 years 10 months ago -

Rachel Weisz again shows that's she's one of the finest actresses around. Tough and sad true life drama. 8 years 6 months ago -

There are terrible things happening in this film, and it's even more sad to learn that it is inspired by actual events. Nevertheless it's a story that has to be told and I think this film does a great job in telling it; for which Rachel Weisz deserves a great a mount of credit for her strong performance. 11 years 1 month ago
