After watching this you should watch the 20-minute follow-up The Tickle King which provides a coda and closure to the story:

One of the most fascinating documentaries I've seen in recent years. I was intrigued by the premise, but then as each scene takes you further and further down the rabbit hole, it's absolutely gripping to watch what at first seems like an inflation of negligible, disconnected facts slowly crystallise into a revelation of jaw-dropping clarity. Personally, this film absorbed me into the emotional experience of investigative journalism much more effectively (and authentically) than either Spotlight or All the President's Men could. And the flawless editing, engaging cinematography, lack of contrivance or preachiness, and refreshing tolerability of the narrator? These were simply the icing on the cake. 7 years 3 months ago
