Interesting to pick out some of the names from the credits and see where they're at today. Most of them are multimillionaires now of course.

The lowly "best boy" on this short, Tony Apodaca, is now Director of Graphics Research and Development for Pixar. Eben Ostby, who did modeling work for Tin Toy, is now Vice President of Software. I'm sure everyone involved with Pixar in 1988 is doing pretty well now.

This is probably the best example of the "uncanny valley" in animation.

The disturbing baby character seems to be so inhuman, so creepy, however, it was very well-done for a 1988 movie. A very bold attempt of animating a 3d human alike character.
A worthy-watching traumatizing experience.

Incredibly nostalgic. Interesting that Lasseter chose to go with live toys in both this short and then later in the studio's first full length feature, Toy Story.

Luxo Jr. makes a cameo almost right at the start. He's in the painting up on the wall.
