The introduction to gangster movies. Great work of Josef von Sternberg.

Though a silent film, you can hear Bull Weed's annoying laugh. For me, the end redeemed an otherwise satisfatory film.

A great silent gangster film. Strernberg has a very unique visual style, reminds me of Chaplin's use of lighting and editing. Also, this is my 2500th film.
