It surprised me how they kept the suspense level up even though you knew how it would end. I liked it. In my opinion, any movie that focuses on killing Hitler has limitless entertainment value... everyone wants him to die.
To the people calling the movie predictable or complaining that you new the ending... it's not fiction. Obviously he wasn't going to kill Hitler, because that's not how it happened.
The actors didn't put on fake German accents because they thought it would be condescending. Great movie, vastly underrated.
Yeah I agree with porscheguy19 in that I knew how it would end, but the suspense was still high. Tom Cruise is terrific as Colonel von Stauffenberg. A great watch even if you already do know the ending.
Crap film. They all had British or American accents, maybe they thought people would assume they were talking in German the whole time but personally I don't care what the reason was, it looked lazy and made it confusing as to what side they were on. Having said that though it was incredibly predictable from beginning to end - in fact i found myself telling the movie what was going to happen next before it even knew several times and getting it bang on.
