Needs more Mogwai. That, and the hyper-real sound design in general, was the only interesting thing about this doc. Full disclosure: not a fan of Zidane or soccer or even sports in general. But I knew that going in, and that the movie was going to be Brakhage meets FIFA, and I was still underwhelmed.

While playing I went to pee two times, got some tea, and chatted a couple of minutes with a co-worker. I think that added it more content.

Not sporty enough for the sports fans or arty enough for the cinephiles. Neither cerebral or intuitive enough to reveal insights. But it is a noble attempt and there will be a handful who are hypnotized by it.
