Started out pretty good but started dragging a few times in the middle, enough to make me wish it was a little shorter so I could get to whatever twist they had at the end.
It'd be refreshing to watch a movie like this where you don't know from the beginning that there's going to be some twist that you're just waiting to get to.
It's actually a popular film that's won a decent amount of awards, even though it's not American enough for the xenophobes that complain it's rated highly at imdb.
It'd work until things get group voted up/down, similar to the oddballs that show up on the Shorts lists.
I'd be happy with seeing two sections of imdb. The top lists, as we currently have and lists of the bottom movies.
I'd also like to see more cult/martial arts/spaghetti western type related lists. While the newer lists bring in some new movies, they also have many existing ones. Cult lists would add many first timers to this site. Pretty much what Runar said.
We have enough lists with quirky indie crap, lets get some other kinds of crap.
It's like they picked their favorite actors/actresses and then blindly picked some movies. While finishing this list, I'm running across a lot of unintentional double features with the same cast.
No, it really is stupid since it's as realistic as when 30+ year olds are playing roles as high school students. That's the same thing as this, just in reverse.
It's good for what it's trying to do but it's way to easy to overthink it and not be able to enjoy it, since everything is just wrong. It's the equivalent of Terror of Tiny town but pretending it's a normal western, even though the actors are different.
The plot sounded decent enough but I don't buy that they "forgot" food and water before going on a desert hike when they both just got out of the car with no backpacks or anything.
Also, normal people don't just leave to go on a hike, never saying anything to each other in the car or not even a word once they get out and start walking. They didn't even act like they were going on a hike when they got out of the car. They acted like they just pulled up to a department store, hopped out and just started walking to the entrance.
"Oh -- and he does include four entries on TV series (The Singing Detective; Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy; The Sopranos; and Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky),"
According to the book by Dave Thomas, M*A*S*H is referring to the movie, Monty Python's Flying Circus is indeed referring to the series, and I can't preview Sweeney Todd, so I can't help there.
I didn't care for it because it was a rehash of movies that did the same thing in a better way. Blair Witch didn't invent this style either. The only innovating thing that did was the marketing for the film.
This same sort of "discovery of film will explain these missing people" type movie has been done decades earlier.
It is possible. There's been more than a couple people where it's been suspected and after a PM to them, they've gone back and unchecked a bunch of stuff or they've just outright admitted they never saw the stuff in the first place.

This item is correct. The one from 1983 has a similar name but it doesn't have the 'n' at the end of the title that this one does.Still don't believe me? Check the name of this movie at imdb through the link and then check the name at the imdb link that pramodc84 posted.
