@ Gus_Hammond: How would you know? You've seen 9% of Rosenbaum's list. Do you think that's really enough to judge his selection? Jonathan Rosenbaum is a world renowned film critic with years of experience.
I don't always agree with Ebert, but to say that he is film illiterate is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
By definition being film-literate is based on your knowledge of film, I would say Ebert more than qualifies on that level. Whether he has taste or not, is another matter altogether.
The fact that the new edition got rid of Fanny and Alexander and included Paranormal Activity makes me question the sanity and taste of the people in charge.

Jonathan Rosenbaum is a world renowned film critic with years of experience.Jean-Luc Godard said of him: "I think there is a very good film critic in the United States today, a successor of James Agee, and that is Jonathan Rosenbaum. He's one of the best; we don't have writers like him in France today. He's like André Bazin."

@Sviggolo: I agree with you 150%.I watched this because I heard it revolved around Christmas, but it was a really tired horror film with every cliché in the book and horrible dialogue.
Even Ray Wise's presence didn't help its case.
