As an experiment quite boring in the beginning when it only consists of still images of a script where someone "turns the page" to the next scene all the time.
But as a film, when you then start reading the whole script, a poetic romantic story about three people and a house emerges. Quite beautiful. And time is actually experienced quite quickly. ... The coffee in the cup never diminishes btw. ;)

Included in the Criterion Collection and thus also their top list The Criterion Collection's Eclipse Series in place 184/184. But I sat on the couch and waited for something dramatic to happen more than what happens in the beginning (do not want to spoil), however, quite in vain. Totally ok acting and plot. Nothing that goes down in cinematic world history. You see this once, and I think I could have away prioritized this on SVT Play for another more acclaimed film.

Interesting and exciting, but slow in the middle. Bale makes a lot of the film, but it's not his life achievement (as a critic say). I do not notice much of Herzog's direction. You see this once.
6+/10
A fine movie, too less of wintry snowy Christmas feeling only. Yes, slightly better than new, the recording from 1994 (which has more of the Xmas feelings), but I do not understand how it can be so much more acclaimed!(?) Good acting.
6+/10
No, now it is noticeable in the script that there is a lack of ideas. Not as charming as the first three movies, but fantastic CGI and entertaining for the moment for the whole family. :)

Oh, how tragic. And passionate. And beautiful, especially the ending is very nice - with scenes the last night when she dies interspersed with the first performance of "Rien de rien" (that she does not regret anything life). A little tough introduction, but what a voice she had. What I feel sorry for her who got jaundice early and liver failure and created a medical drug addiction and rheumatism at a young age.
Edith Piaf (Sparrow in a Parisian dialect of French) probably had the greatest success with the songs La vie en rose (1946; own lyrics), Milord (1959) and Non, je ne regrette rien (1960) - and was to become only 47 years young.
I have been recommended to see this ever since 2007 when I was in Germany after my studies in Lüneburg, by German friends who have seen it. So, finally!

Oh! What was this? 28 min experimental artistic classic structural short film. Boring. I went and fetched coffee in the middle. Then maybe (!) my brain was brainwashed a bit, which is maybe positive?! Did not have an epileptic seizure anyway.
"The Flicker is a 1966 experimental film by Tony Conrad. The film consists of only 5 different frames: a warning frame, two title frames, a black frame, and a white frame. It changes the rate at which it switches between black and white frames to produce stroboscopic effects.
Conrad spent several months designing the film before shooting it in a matter of days. He produced and distributed The Flicker with the help of Jonas Mekas. The film is now recognized as a key work of structural filmmaking. "

Saw cinematic version on 2 h 30 min. Exciting all the time. Swedish Ferguson does a great job as the main antagonist. McGregor also good, as well as the little mulatto girl. They also managed well with the end, I think, at the Overlook Hotel (they built up the interior completely in a quick six weeks) as I hoped, which can certainly be tricky to what many hope to come up as a worthy sequel 29 years later than the masterful first film of Kubrick. The music is taken from the original, which is great when it was masterful. Neat photo. Many flirts with the original film.

I can not understand the high average rating on IMDb (7.3 / 10), more than that I think this saga for Anglo-Saxon countries is valued high and is a strong classic. It is a bit charming and cute at best, but small children will not understand adult morality even though they know the story - so, who have they targeted as an audience? Most nostalgic adults, I would say. I see this once.
7/10
What an end, such a film that is slow in the whole construction until the crescendo (like Russian Under the Sun for example). Based on Swedish Torgny Lindgren's novel of the same name about two tiring brothers, but this is set in Ukraine. Beautiful environments in the mountains.
5/10
No super production and for an adult a bit children's TV, but nice 1980s feel and genuine VFX without CGI. Not scary at all. I think the nostalgia factor plays a big role here for those who give higher ratings. Fun with Noah Hathaway (Atreyu) from "The Neverending Story", Jenny Beck from "V" as siblings and Julia Louis-Dreyfus from "Seinfeld" in a young role. Good music and good acting by short Phil Fondacaro, who plays both the troll Torok and one of the neighbors (also in Willow).
7/10
Roy Andersson's latest. Simple, dramatic, slow, comical, concise, beautiful, meticulously planned, eye for detail & ingenious.
I do not know why he often uses old 1950s / 60s environments, but it works really well and I love it!
6+/10
Cozy, cozy environments in London, not entirely spotless script by Emma Thompson, good music by George Michael (inspired by apparently), but ... damn what an unexpectedly nice twist!! Beautiful.
6/10
Cool and interesting idea, not really like "Cube".
Here's a prison from which you can not get out, on different floors. One month per floor with a fellow prisoner, you go up and down, and do not know which floor you will end up on next. The lower floors do not get any food from the large food lift ...
7/10
An exciting film straight through with good length. Flawless in terms of logical gaps, which is not to say that it is automatically a masterpiece - where everything should fit together!
6+/10
Swedish-Dutch co-production with Magnus Krepper and Eva Röse. It is good, but no masterpiece. Interesting story in Amsterdam. I see it once, not more. Beautiful poster!

This has only received 5.7 / 10 on IMDb, but I found it surprisingly good! See it if you like nice action with a twist and / or if you like Smith! A good Owen and a better Winstead makes it worth a watch.
