Loved the first movie, liked the idea of the honor system, but this sequel was so terrible I think it gave me cancer.

Reasons to avoid:
* Terrible script is terrible.
* The "actors" can't act for shit. Only John Billingsley gets a thumbs up and he's in it for maybe 5 minutes.
* The completely unmotivated zealotry which propels the apparently well educated, critically thinking students into relentlessly stalking their favorite teacher. DUDE IT GETS WORSE (read the comment about the script again)
* The incessant and ridiculous Christianity spiel where the whole movie derails completely.
* That ending. /vomit

As much as I love the original, I have nothing but contempt for this atrocity. No money for you, honor-shamers.

Marvel's The Punisher, Netflix.

Very nice adaptation. Frank is much more human than in the comics but that was to be expected. The new takes on some key characters work well.

After the horrible Iron Fist whine-fest and the weak-ass Defenders mess, we needed something solid. Thank goodness we got it!

Well recommended.

Great look into the history of this low budget horror cult classic. Only downer is the lack of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, but that means the others get a lot of room instead. Lots of interesting stories and details!

Interesting sci-fi horror with good acting, solid effects and plenty of atmosphere.
There are some rough edges like the confusing script and excessive use of the F-word, but it is no deal breaker.

International English title: "Journey to Saturn"

Very corny and raw humor.

The movie is based on a famous Danish comic by Claus Deleuran but really has very little in common with it. It is quite amusing, however non-Scandinavians are likely to experience plenty of contextual disconnects (unless familiar with Scandinavian mentalities and quirks).

Some of the same people who later worked on "Ronal Barbaren" (a.k.a. 'Ronal the Barbarian') also worked on this movie. F.y.i. Ronal is a far, far superior movie and highly worth watching.

This one is not more than mildly recommended, and even then mostly for Scandinavians.

A majestic mountain of unbelievable shit.

You could never make something this bad if you tried to, but our man PWSA delivers again and again. Aside from a few cool things like some of the stunts, the tanks, the burning of the building and revisiting the ol' laser hall... it's just pure excrement in every regard.

Wesker looks like he was made with crappy CGI... holy crap. There are soo many tropes in this stinker you'd never be able count them all. To name a few...
48 hour deadline. Looking at the countdown timer exactly when the seconds move from 00 to 59. Jump scares. Taking a beating then laughing before killing your assailants. Saying things like 'running out of time', 'got to hurry' yet often taking the time to stand around and stare until something attacks. Running from countless zombies who magically disappear whenever. Dragons.

I've seen all the movies including the animated ones and played several of the games. After yet another catastrophic movie, even I can't understand why anymore. It feels like it's way overdue to retire the franchise.

Absolutely not recommended.

Tries very hard but much like the theater in the movie, it crumbles into a smoking pile of rubble due to improper construction.

The casting is great and they all perform well, but there is simply so much fluff that no one and no thing is allowed to thrive. There's nothing to care about!
It all blends together into a giant ball of cotton candy. Seriously not a good thing.

Pick any random musical "talent" TV show, animate it, make the characters animals, stuff it full of bland pop songs, turn up the tempo and drown the whole thing in a mountain of sickly sweet sugar... ugh.

The good includes the sweet visuals (excluding human character animations), chocobo references and Sean Bean. The bad includes everything else. The dialogue is especially horrendous. Classic Square Enix!
Simply put, it's a complete pile of nonsensical garbage.

Not recommended, but as previously stated, FFXV fans might get something worthwhile out of it. Can't imagine what...

Piss poor in every aspect. I can't decide which was worse; script, direction or acting... they are all beyond terrible. The only positive thing about this insufferable tripe is the short (79 min) runtime.

It's a crowdfunded pitch pilot for a potential Star Trek tv show, but the powers that be wisely decided this piece of crap wasn't good enough to be associated with Star Trek... however I'm saddened to hear the show may still become a reality under the name "Renegades" with all ST elements removed or renamed. Tuvok will be named Kovok and such nonsense.

Absolutely not recommended, not even for die hard Trekkies.

This from the same studio that created the brilliant LEGO Movie?! It hardly seems possible.

Barring a few high notes spoiler this is an anemic, spastic, swing-and-a-miss you'd do well to forget.

Same as most people, I had only heard one thing about the movie beforehand. It seemed like the buzz revolving a certain set of muscles was the only thing worth spreading.
That is a rather strong warning signal. The movie unfortunately lived down to the (lack of?) expectations.

Initially, I liked the way the story was presented, spoiler but as the thing dragged on and on it became more and more irritating. spoiler

Alexander looked tired and bored, even when he spoiler should be very happy. Also did not nail the English accent, but I'm nitpicking now.
I felt Margot Robbie's performance was plain bad. Nowhere near her greatness in Wolf of Wall Street (great movie) or her brilliance in Suicide Squad (crap movie).
Speaking of bad, there's Sam and Christoph. Another two actors of great talent and skill who simply swing and miss, horribly. Let's not even mention Djimon Hounsou or Jim Broadbent... basically, it's a paycheck for everyone, forget the script and all that other movie making hoo-haa. Off to the next one.

Special effects fail brutally in the later half, there were something like 7 special effects studios involved. Perhaps a case of too many cooks.
Essentially, everything in the movie is more or less a letdown and this piece of crap won't do anyone involved any favors. It's making profit worldwide so technically, it's a success? Ugh.

Not recommended. At all.

Watching it almost 20 years later, it still holds up well.
Quite brutal and gory, although the animation perhaps looks a bit cheap. They still managed to capture the essence of the comic.
The same cannot be said for the utterly horrific live action movie which should be avoided at all costs.

Worth watching, especially for fans of the original comic.

Even the song playing during the end credits is called "It's a Mess"... fortunately, it's a well crafted mess.

Fans of similar films with interlocking stories will do well to grab this one.

This show has nothing in common with the comic (one of the best comics ever created btw), save for some similarities in names and the general gist of the back-story.
Everything else is simply totally unrecognizable and honestly, being so far removed from its origin gives it a chance to hold its own.
I wish they had hired better writers though.
Also, the show really needed to be free from the TV networks moral panic filters (FOX) and frankly suffers horribly from lack of profanity and debauchery. This IS the Devil we're talking about, after all.

If you can watch the show and remember to keep all ties to the comic severed, it's worth watching mainly due to Tom Ellis performance. He is both amusing and surprising. Although the role is not written well, he makes it work.

Mildly recommended.

It is mediocre in all aspects. There isn't much more to say really.
The end credits name it "Bus 657" but IMDb lists "Heist" as the original title.

Minimally recommended, mainly for casual watching.

Brutally underwhelming. This is why you shouldn't let Adam Sandler write scripts, or even help with the writing at all.

The movie is let down mostly by the shoddy script and the wasted opportunities therein. The Sandler-esque "humor" is featured too prominently, which detracts a lot from the overall enjoyment. The decision to make Dennis spoiler really breaks the ending and overall theme of the narrative. Oh, we could have done without the shameless plugging of Sony branded phones as well. Yeuch.

The ending by the way does not spoiler You just get a brief glimpse before the overworked credits roll in. I really expected more.

Bonus points for Mel Brooks, Blobby, werewolf pups and excellent production values. Everything looks crisp and the voices are splendid.

Let's just hope Robert Smigel doesn't let Sandler "help" write the threequel, aimed for 2018 release.

Minimally recommended, provided you liked the first one.

The Transporter movies up until now were basically one solid movie followed by two increasingly silly ones. Nonetheless, we enjoyed Mr. Statham in all three and the series secured his place in Hollywood.

And now we get this... de-Statham'ed, soulless, vapid misguided attempt at another sequel/reboot/rehash... I don't even know what to call it. I seriously hope Ed Skrein was fired from GoT instead of leaving to make this movie, because that's the kind of bad decision that'll drive a man to suicide.
Let's just mark this whole thing down as a total disaster and forget it happened.

Needless to say, not recommended. Especially if you enjoyed the previous three Transporters.

Absolutely Anemic.

Even fans of Simon Pegg, Robin Williams or the Pythons will have a hard time finding something to love here. The script is a depressing checklist of opportunities wasted. The things one could do with the Absolutely Anything power? You can probably come up with more interesting ideas than anything you'll actually see on screen.

I was cautiously hoping for an interesting sci-fi take on the Bruce Almighty concept, and the cast indicated strong comedic potential.
As it turns out, the general feeling is zero interest and effort from pretty much anyone involved. Typecasting to the point where you can just look at nearly any cast member and tell what their character will be like, and how they'll interact with each other, even without knowing the plot or story. At least Eddie Izzard was enjoyable in his sadly minimal role.

The whole premise of the movie basically self-terminates when spoiler That's a really nice message. spoiler

A few laughs and a cool idea or two is not enough. Re-watch Bruce Almighty instead.

Decent enough for a sunday evening TV viewing.

Scott Adkins brings his martial arts and acrobatic skills in a ninja themed beat-em-up movie. It's absolutely generic and cliche with lots of fighting, which is not a bad thing at all here. Some of the fight choreography is very pleasing.
Also, Togo Igawa! A living legend, always worth watching.

Recommended for Adkins fans and those who want a modern take on the old school 80's ninja flicks.

It's a brave attempt at a movie about very early video games, and it plays directly into the nostalgia spine of the generation who grew up in the target time period. Being one such person, I would be a prime candidate for liking Pixels (the movie) but to be honest, the old Happy Madison crew should retire from the movie industry. I suspect this was a Sandler wet dream project.

There are some jokes worth appreciating, the visual effects are pleasing to the eye, the interpretations of 80's games as real world objects are amusing. Plenty of references for us 'old folks' to snicker at.

On the other hand, there are so many things to scoff at; listing them all would be meaningless. Let's just say that besides the previously mentioned positives, the movie is a train wreck.

Slighty recommended for the people who grew up with arcade machines like Donkey Kong and Galaga, and possibly their children. Introducing classic games to a new generation isn't a bad idea... although via this movie it might be.

All others can just skip it completely since thinking about the idea of this movie is better than actually watching it.

Interesting enough to merit a viewing, although you've probably seen it all before if you enjoy these spoiler kinda movies. Overall good quality, but the script is a bit dodgy and the fight choreography is kindergarten level.

Also known as "Thin ice".

Good performances by the whole cast.
Not much humor in this comedy to be honest. It's dark, drawn out and scattered. In a way, the messy script keeps you distracted from understanding what's really going on. Strangely, this becomes the real strength of the movie.

Main issue I had was the bumbling foolishness of the main character. His actions felt a little too forced and unrealistic, left me with very many questions unanswered. The conclusion was very much the same way as well.

If you stay for the whole ride, you'll be rewarded for your patience with an ending you probably can be okay with. I say "if" because I almost gave up myself.

Minimally recommended.

A 119 minute long groan.

If you paid money to see this, you need a psychiatrist or simply a good thirty whacks in the head with a hammer.

Avoid this inane dreck if you value your mental health.
