People say this is so bad it's cult. For me, it's a hipster bullshit. It's so bad it's one of (if not THE) worst movie ever. Seriously, even my eighth grade movie is better.

I watched five minutes of this and I could see no more. It became so obscene that my family was repulsed (I mean really, really obscene! Don't mind if people call this porn!). I mean, poor, poor chicken!

Although this isn't the kind of comedy most appreciated, it is one of the funniest of 2010. If anyone say that they hadn't had a single laugh watching this, it's a lie. The problem is the type of jokes used: it's bullying. It's about making fun of other people, laughing at them for being stupid. Barry (Carrel) isn't a funny guy, but his stupidity is, and I have to say I'm very glad to see people feeling uncomfortable with it, I just hope it isn't bare hipocrisy. In the other hand, we have something that is killing nowadays comedies but seemed to be a little left apart here: the politically correct, that is, the words 'sex' and 'goat' are in the same sentence; That Borat feeling that 'this is so wrong'.

As a comedy, there's no way to compare this to an Wayan or an high school crap. This is comedy with todays best comedians. What happens you you get Steve Carrel, Paul Rudd and Zack Galifianakis together in the same scene? I won't tell you, it's a must-see. Steve Carrel is stunning. You can actually see the stupidity in his eyes. They are so innocent that it is pitiful. Maybe that's what ruined this a little bit. Jemaine Clement is also priceless.

So, afterall, this is actually really funny and I recommend.

This is definitely in the bottom ten movies I've ever seen. DO NOT waste your time!

I love Jack Black, his musics, his comedy, but this is ridiculous. Shameful for everyone envolved. I honestly don't know what was going on while they were making this but it is horrible. I just want 90 minutes of my life back.

Not even a single laugh was given.

Astoneshing. This is what I have to say. After watching this, some may ask how come a movie like this hits only TV and not the big screens. But the story itself shows that there's no public for it. It is not entertainment. This is a story that must be told, and it was told with mastery by Barry Levinson and Al Pacino.

Oh Al Pacino. Is there anything else that can be said about him? Beyond imagination. That's what he is. I lack words to describe him, so I'll stop here before I start talking nonsenses.

This is a true masterpiece about debate, rhetoric and taboos. To hear and discuss others points of view despite our beliefs. Therefore, this I recommend and for the second time in my life, I give this note.

Well, this was interesting. I thought it would be a piece of crap, but I got captivated in the first five minutes. The direction, the acting and the movie as itself are a piece of crap, but the script got my attention.

What I liked about it was how an american movie, made for americans, deals with it's controversial religion. How a kid was brainwashed into becoming a preacher and how he explains his scams. The fact that he doesn't believe, but performs exorcisms anyways so the "posessed" falls for the trick. The power of mind over matter. Of course he got screwed in the end, but it doesn't matter. The point is that he's a fraud.

Continuing on the script, the end was really unexpected. When I thought it was over, there were more. I liked it, but I didn't liked the "more" after what I thought that was the end.

So, for the courage of treating religion in this manner, I decided to raise my score a little.

I didn't liked it, but if this script fell into good hands, maybe we could get something really interesting and some subjects to discuss.

How surprising it is when you realize that some actors have no limit? That's what's happening with Christian Bale and Johnny Depp. You just can't distinguish actor from character. You can't tell when one begin and the other ends. Even Dillinger's side smile is perfectly played.

Changing the subject, I can't understand what goes on a director's mind. As if it wasn't slow enough, Michael Mann seems to drag this movie even in the action scenes. Don't get me wrong, these are 140 minutes of 'must see', but you will get bored. Eventually you will realize that you are sat watching a movie. I don't know why it's a trend now, but Hollywood is killing the soundtracks. Countless minutes of the sound of Thompsons shooting around and blinking in front of you.

On the other side, there's the truly unique cinematography implied in here. From the mentioned blinking fire guns quickly changing to handycams running through the woods. It's amazing to see the dark 30's Chicago at night in such quality.

Giving the cast, the overwelming actuations and the cinematography, but keeping apart the boredom: it is one of the best movies of this century.

Adam Sandler is a genious. He may not be a good actor but he's a great comedian commited to what he does.

Been a really funny movie, there's not much to talk about here. It's the same old story, but for the entertainment and the amazing jokes it's ok. Afterall, that's what movies are about: entertainment. With that in mind, the cast is superb and really sharp. To see an actor playing a jew playing a german guy is priceless.

Jennifer Aniston is looking better than ever, the years seems to make her even more beautiful. Her feeling and her timing for comedy is astonishing. Meanwhile, Brooklyn Decker is just a pretty face that makes sense in the context and Nicole Kidman is horrible. I don't know what is her problem, but she really don't have any talent for comedy.

The kids are also a show apart. Specially the girl.

One of the most beautiful and saddest movies I've ever seen. It's wonderful how everything leads to the unavoidable end that everyone knows but chose not to believe.

One of the things that I most enjoyed in the story is how Alex spreads love and wisdom wherever is passed. Everyone learned from him. From the young 16 years old girl to the octogenarian war veteran.

Amazing job by every actor in the movie. Emile is impeccable. Hal Holbrook is extraordinary and very well deserved the Academy Award nomination. Truly unique movie by the master Seann Penn. His best movie so far.

It's a little too long, but nothing to worry. Still an excellent movie.

You know what you'll get from this movie by the opening scene. The tension, the loneliness of the main characters and the feeling that something huge is about to happen is palpable. Very well done. But do not think that's all.

As the most faithful film to the books, it's flawless. Indeed, great job by David Yates in the last three movies, specially the last two. They really feel not like just three more movies from the saga, but like the beginning of the final trilogy. Therefore, this is the middle of the end. Quoting Ronald Weasley: "It's a part of something bigger."

Although a little bit slow sometimes, when action was required, did not disappoint. Those who have not read or followed only by the movies will not be able to follow the story. Truly a movie made for the fans. Made in respect of whom spent alongside the trio.

The cinematography and soundtrack are spectacular and fits perfectly. Also does the special effects. This is by far the movie where the actors were better developed and therefore a much better job was made by everyone. Special notes for Rupert Grint that really overcame himself and could dispute side-by-side the spotlights with Radcliffe.

To conclude, this is, by now, the best movie in the whole saga. Let's hope the next one can overcame this.

Truly revolutionary, this movie has introduced the handycam perspective to action and terror movies with maestry. Used for the first time with wisdom, it puts you in first person in one of the scariest movies ever.

The suspense and the tension were perfectly built, and the fact that you never really know what is going on, and not be able to see, makes you even more anxious. It is not about the disgusting scenes, special effects and monsters, there are none. It's about always keep expecting something to happen. You can feel your skin crawl.

Remarkably cheap, this is the movie with biggest financial return in history and once you see it, it's crystal clear how it is true.

One of those movies you have to see before you die, even if you're not the terror genre fan.

This is undoubtely one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen and by far the best Pixar movie. I believe it will be really hard to overcome such an achievement.

Everything works just perfectly. It's a movie that draws you in from the very beginning to the end with very few lines and speeches. The physical expressions in the characters are sublime and couldn't be better. Even the most slobbery scenes are fascinating. It's beautiful to see how age seems to give wisdom to the robots.

Been a movie made by americans it's really surprising to see the amazing critics to the american way of life, its effect in our beloved planet and how we are affected by ourselves.

Some things are worthy of attention like how the humans start to relearn life when they stop to look around and the obvious homages to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek, Star Wars, E.T., Close Encounters... and last, but not least, Charles Chaplin. Wall-E is, in everything he does, Chaplin in space. From the loneliness, to the interest in human kind, the clumsy way, the sad eyes, the issues with authorities. But don't think it's plagiarism. Actually it is a beautiful tribute to the romantic comedies from mute cinema.

The space ballet scene is truly remarkable and worthy of kudos for being one of the most beautiful scenes in modern animation history along with Aladdin's Whole New World and the Lady and the Tramp's spaghetti. The ending credits also are part of Pixar's lust for details: how it goes along from the rock and egyptian paintings from the beginning of civilization to 8 bit graphics. Genius.

But what most amazes me is Pixar's quest to improve not only the technics and graphics but also the narrative. Today, Pixar really is the most passionated Hollywood studio. "Characters with child appeals, but grown ups issues", as wrote David A. Price in the book The Pixar Touch.

Absolutely deserved the 2009 Academy Award for best Animated Feature and surprises me for not being nominated for Best Picture.

[CONTAINS SPOILERS]

Centered in logic dialogs, I believe this version tells in a very reasonable way the major story.
Although I haven't seen the original to compare, in this version, the scene that most delighted me was when Reeves, Connelly and John Cleese were dabating the hability of the human race to evolve when needed. It's a shame that it's over so quickly. ( "Only at the precipice do we evolve" )

One of the aspects that I most enjoyed was the critics to the US Government and military decisions. To lay everything in the hands of one single person instead of a counsel. How they think that "because it landed here, it's ours". And how they say that this is "our planet".

Some small facts are amusing to watch as well. Like the incinerator scene, when the executive locks the operator to die inside the chamber, but when everything's about to collapse, he begs to leave.

Known for been one of the most inexpressive actors of all time, Keanu Reeves wisely chooses his characters. Afterall, you can't expect an alien without more than a week on Earth and yet "getting used" to his body to demonstrate emotions. Connelly is ok in a shallow and cold character that could be better played. Jaden Smith doesn't help. In fact, I don't understand what that kid is doing. His daddy must be paying a real hard cash to put him in this movies.

In final conclusions, it's a love story, but an unusual love. Not the man and wife love, but the human love. The bond between mother and son and how it's visible both to an alien who is here for 70 years and one who is less than a week.

Very good movie, very good script. Affleck's direction is very good and couldn't be different. I personally don't like him much as actor and didn't like his play in this movie and I think that acting and directing were a little over his head.

Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Hall are superb. So is Pete Postlethwaite in his small role.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. What the hell leads someone to do a movie like this?

Zombie-plague-monks are enough! That was one of the lammest and dumbest demons I've ever seen! I just can't describe it.

I wonder how the heck did Nicolas Cage became one of the "greatest" actors nowadays. Of course he did good movies but he has an undescribable hability to choose the worst stories ever. Seriously, it freaks me out!

This is not an easy movie. Although the three stories are as unavoidable as death, they come together naturally.

The first scene is an surprise in the movie and it disappoints as you start to expect something different from the movie. It seemed out of context.

With happy endings, all the allowable clichés and an sweet romances, it's one of the easiest Eastwood's movies, but it's outstandingly original by the veteran view from the director.

After all, seems like Eastwood, in his eighties, is preparing himself, and most of all, us, for his death.

This movie is a spectacular surprise. Honestly I was postponing it because it's a children movie and musical and so on. But I can gladly say that I was completely wrong.

The visuals were stunning and I honestly don't understand how this movie wasn't indicated for Best Animated Feature.

Although it isn't an completely original story, it recovers what Hollywood seems to lost a few years ago: creativity. Disney is to be congratulated for been able to tell an known story in an original way.

With higher and lower points during the score, the music do disturb a little but when it's needed, the comedy was perfect. In that matter the best character are the animals: the dorse (horse/dog) Maximus and the chameleon Pascal.

Putting all together you have a beautiful movie able to delight both children and adults, boys and girls.

This movie seems to be directed by two different people. There's the first half where the main character narrates the story boring you to hell and the shaking handy cams and there's the second half which is one fine piece of cinema.

Luke Wilson is that second class actor hired to do a main character in a second class movie. It doesn't work. In the other hand we have James Caan and Giovanni Ribisi in support roles acting as I've seen few times.

Balancing it all it's a bad movie that grows to a good one, so, it's ok.

I see some people saying it's an unrealistic script, it's naive and so on...

Guys, it's all based in true facts. Most of the characters are real although it's not one episode but a bunch of incidents. I'm brazillian and live in Rio and I can say that I saw that crisis and I saw it all happening.

Not an usual "chick-flick". I heard a lot of people saying this is not worthy of Johnny Depp but I can't figure a different way of playing this character, and, as he played it beautifully, he scores.

The story is predictable, although you may think it doesn't have sense in the beginning, you can put the pieces together and figure it before the middle.

Average movie. Predictable and with horrible actors direction but it was entertaining. Grierson did a good job building the tension in the most required scenes.

The drama was deplorable. Rhys Wakefield received a heavier character than he could support. Not even Roxburgh and Gruffudd got away with it.

Points for the visual and cinematography.

Amazing movie, incredibly hilarious. The originality in the pranks and letting ordinary people uncomfortable deserve credits. The penises and feaces parts were the only unnecessary for me.

The opening and closing scenes were incredible in super slow-mo and, although I didn't saw dis in 3D, I believe they were even more incredible.

As an action-comedy as it was supposed to be, it wasn't so bad. But the raw script and the lame acting made it bad. Seth Rogen and Jay Chou desperately need acting classes.

Despite that, the action scenes with the slow-mo and the moving cameras were great.
