1. What do you use iCheckMovies for? Do you only use it to keep track of your checks, or do you mainly use the website to find new movies, etc. Please let us know how you use the website.
I use it to keep track of what movies I have seen, and what movies I want to see (the latter using both the movie watchlist and the list watchlist).

2. What parts of the website should be improved, and why? If you also have a suggestion on how we should improve it, please let us know!
Categorization and tagging of personal lists could definitely be improved. I still think that it doesn't work properly if you leave these only to the lists' owners. As soon as someone doesn't put their list in the right category, the whole feature becomes if not useless then at least flawed. (If all lists were categorized properly, it'd also be much easier to hide personal lists (e.g. "films I watched in 2012") that bother so many people. But currently, the "perosnal lists" category doubles as a category for uncategorized lists -- this could also be improved if users had to choose a category when they create a list, instead of having to go back afterwards (many people seem to be unaware of the fact that they can change the list's category in the info tab))
I'd also like to be able to "subscribe" to a list's discussion, so that I'd be notified when a comment is made (as it's already possible for list owners).
And then there are some minor things, like adding a "quote" button next to a comment so you don't have to manually copy it when you quote someone.

3. What parts of the website don't you care for, and why? Are there features you'd go so far as to actually rather see them removed from the website?
I don't see the point of having groups. A regular forum might be better. And I personally don't care about the user ranking. Watching movies isn't a competition to me, so I don't use the ranking (or watch certain movies specifically to rise there).
I don't mind having those features, though. I just don't use them.
I've rewritten the intro, so it's hopefully clearer now what films she only played minor parts in. I'm still undecided about removing those films from the list altogether.
Veronica Lake is not really "in" the movie Hold Back the Dawn.
Haven't seen it myself, yet, but as far as I know it's one of the ones she was an extra in... I've been considering removing those from the list for a while, but am still somewhat undecided.
I disagree with the removal of Men of Crisis: The Harvey Wallinger Story, especially if New York Stories stays. It is not a lost film, it is available at the Paley Center for Media.
You can't please everybody and it's likely someone will complain whatever I do. For now, I'll stick to my criteria of "only feature films", which I use for most of my filmography lists here on iCM, and which happens to exclude Men of Crisis (regardless of whether it's lost or not).
Though it’s being presented and passed around as something like Martin Scorsese’s list of “essential” films, I don’t believe it’s anything of the sort. I don’t even think it’s a list of his favourites, or those that particularly influenced him. These are just the 85 pictures he had reason to mention during a single interview about Hugo.
For those not interested in his TV episodes, lost shorts, etc. I've added another Quentin Tarantino filmography that only contains the core films he wrote and directed.
My suggestion is this: for future lists, prompt the user to pick one or the other.
Adding the category and privacy options to the list creation page would definitely be an improvement (currently these options are only available when you edit a list, not when you create one).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to send PMs to authors of useless personal lists politely asking to set their list as private. I think it's feasible for a group of 10-20 users to go through 1500 lists. They can start from lists with most dislikes. And if it turns out well, the same people could help with categorization.
What do you think?
Sounds good to me. Maybe someone should start a group to coordinate such an effort ...
If I change the name back, would it help with the problems you guys are having?
It's not really that big of a deal. I just thought you deleted the list for a moment, as I followed the link from the unofficial iCM forum to it and got a 404 page.
I personally would prefer it to be in line with the other lists, but that's just my opinion which is probably worth as much as Nuked's. Basically, I think you should name it however you prefer and not let anyone bully you into changing it.
All I'm saying is that there are tons of filmography lists on here that omit shorts, TV movies, lost films, etc. and that the name change was completely unnecessary.

There are currently also the categories TV episodes, and TV movies, while shorts unfortunately don't have their own category.

Gremlins (Rated PG) could be a good choice. I also liked Cloverfield (PG-13), but I'm not sure if that's the kind of film you're looking for.

As I said before, I think in most cases film series should cover such lists.
