Theres so many films people want to see, so having retail links on each page wouldnt hurt. I'm sure many people would use them. I think the folks at this site definitely deserve to make revenue. So I'd use any methods available. As long as it doesnt mess with the quality of the ICM experience.
I really dont keep track of all the films I watch, so thats why having a site like this is great to me. I'm not that concerned about awards, its a fun thing, but it has nothing to do with my viewing habits. I watch whatever strikes me as interesting, thats why Im not constantly checking off films, the majority of the movies I watch arent even listed yet.
Whatever the disagreements are, one thing is for certain Im very excited about ICM 2.0 and I hope when its updated, everyone will just go back to enjoying themselves by watching films and keeping their lists, creating new ones etc.

Whats the real argument about here? Getting virtual award icons on a page? If so, thats not very important. People should be able to watch/check off as many films as they want. Not just certain ones.

I dont care if certain people consider a film I like/have seen not worthy etc. I watch whatever interests me. If theres people who only want to watch critically acclaimed films, thats cool. I don't judge cinema in that way. Theres tons of films that Ive enjoyed that arent even listed on ICM yet. Watching films for me isnt about creating walls, its about breaking them down.

What about making our own lists too. Like "My Fav 80s Films" etc? That would be neat to be able to do. Thats why bringing in all films is a cool idea to me.
