In my opinion, this is the greatest cold war, nuclear thrillers of all time. The suspense is perfect. The ending leaves you sitting in silence. You'll never forget it.
One of the best movies of all time. 2 and 3 were like strange, violent comedies (especially 3) - great to watch with popcorn and friends; but 1 and 4 are amazing. I watch them over and over again.
This was my favorite movie as a child. I must have watched it thousands of times. How could you not love an adventure mystery movie full of pirates and treasure and secret passageways - where the kids are the heroes.
Great movie to watch with little kids. Adventure and suspense and great comedy - from a child's perspective. It annoys the hell out of me; but my kids love it.
This is a complex and confusing movie. It explores the theory of time-paradox until your brain hurts. Great for sci-fi and time travel movie fans. I watched it with a group of friends, and it left us stunned. Not a big-budget movie... watch it for the story.
This may be John Wayne's best non-cowboy movies. It's a romance movie with an extended fist-fight and many funny moments. One you can watch with your significant other.
I remember seeing this on Saturday Night at the Movies , and thinking that it was one of the best old movies I'd ever seen. I haven't been able to find it since, but it's on my "must see again" list.
My wife loves this movie; and has forced me to watch it with her on many occasions. If you like musicals, this would be a must-see. If you don't like musicals - run.
I guess it's a sci-fi classic... I would hear people speak about it as a must-see, so I watched it. I spend the whole movie waiting for the storyline to pick up or for something to happen... nothing much did. I guess if you like 50's alien movies, you would enjoy it.
A childhood classic. There are a few movies that have a valuable "moral to the story" plot-line - and this is one of them. It is very long, but one of the greats.
I love this movie... but the problem with it is the heavy gay-rights message. I find it implausible that the government would make homosexuality illegal - we are way past that. It just comes across as unreasonably paranoid. Other than that, I enjoy it.
The best dinosaur movie of all time. The one problem with the Jurassic Park movies is that they depend upon human stupidity to build suspense. I always thought that if you're stupid enough to run around screaming in a dinosaur infested jungle - that you deserve to die.
This is one of my all time favorite sci-fi/horror movie. I put it on for some friends who usually joke and make fun of movies like this (they laughed at Alien) - and the movie started off like that... joking, making fun... I leaned over to the person next to me and whispered "watch this, they won't be laughing for long." ..and sure enough a couple more minutes and there was just tense silence as the suspense and terror set in.
My mother always wanted a girl - she had 4 sons instead... me being the oldest. Not deterred by her lack of female offspring, she set out to show us every estrogen-rich movie out there - Shirley Temple movies, Anne of Green Gables, etc... and every musical she could find - including the one that haunts my dreams: The Sound of Music. Damn it to hell.

Disturbing and sad documentary on the life and death of Timothy Treadwell. Unsurprisingly, not a happy ending.Movie comment on The Karate Kid

Old man teaches young boy that violence is the answer.Classic martial arts movie; but one of the worst where actual fighting form is concerned.

You definitely don't watch Tony Jaa movies for the storyline! You watch them for the amazing Muay Thai martial arts fighting. If you like martial arts movies, this is a must-see.

SG-1 is much better than the movie. This movie you watch for the backstory; and then you don't watch it again.Movie comment on This Island Earth

Truly horrible movie. One of the worst I've ever seen. Keep 2 things in mind while watching it: "I thought you were dead" and "in Leningrad".Showing items 26 – 48 of 48
