Beautiful amazing movie. The noir elements are great, the atmosphere is really cool and a picture of the future that doesn't seem to be too far off.

This is a great movie. Roland Emmerich's best, which isn't saying much. It's definitely good for repeat viewings, the story-line and characters are fleshed out very well, the cinematography is great, the special effects hold up really well, the music is fantastic. You also see how the camaraderie and humor got started that you see later in SG-1 started. I would not have been angry had French Stewart had a recurring character on SG-1. Unfortunately, he did that awful third rock show.

Completely unoriginal love story wrapped in a colorful light hearted unoriginal pop song wrapper.

Highly underrated film, really explores the depths desperate people will go to achieve their dreams.

I really enjoyed this film, Refn takes the hero story, adds in some great action and violence and turns it up a notch into to something really good. Gosling and Brooks are fantastic as the hero and villain. Of course it borrows and references other films but there is a true craftsman at work here and that is what makes Drive stand out in the crowd.

It felt like no one was trying to make this a good movie.

I thought it was painstakingly slow and superficial, there was some comedy, but that made it even more superficial.

Not an action film is just a ridiculous statement. This is a brilliant movie whose technical achievement and influence on future films is still being realized. It's underrated and under-appreciated. It deserves to be on the action, 60s, and crime lists. It's a cool crime film with a ton of realism and an atmosphere and the best car chase sequences ever, because they were really driving as fast as it looked.

I have seen this movie at least 15 times and it is a masterpiece of film-making. Michael Mann is a genius and this movie and Collateral are his master works. Everything about this movie is brilliant, the detail is incredible, I'm gonna say that this is a perfect movie, (not the perfect movie because there is no such thing) but a perfect movie.

It was a very subtle movie, but there was definitely tension, it was more a character examination of Val Kilmer's character after his last job, what does he want? Good acting and direction all around, I liked it, it was more than him wandering around in the park.

Thought provoking look at the D-Day invasion. Thought it was a little pretentious but most anti war films in the seventies were. It was well done if a bit dry.

Perhaps if he had had more time to develop the script and maybe not Julie Andrews. I dont mind the score but it is rather stale for a Hitchcock picture. A lot of what made his films so great was the music.

@Total Hipster, I completely agree, it's very ahead of its time considering the basic morality play back and forth; its a sad and rings true because between heresay and mis-communication those things happened often in those days. I don't know how this wasn't nominated for more just for the brilliance of the script.

Elegant and sublime, mixing the samurai with the noir and crafting something truly unique. Alain Delon is such a bad ass in this movie.

A decent thriller with nothing new to add to the genre but still well done, well written and acted.

Not a horror masterpiece but still highly entertaining. Cautionary tale for would be psychos, never underestimate your prey.

Utterly breathtaking and really ahead of it's time, just brilliant. I imagine this is where Aronofsky got his idea.

Very layered murder mystery with a very plausible story-line, inserted into a uniquely detailed examination of pre-WWII British high and low society. While it was long it never felt long, brilliant casting, great writing.
