Clooney won an Oscar for best supporting actor, for this no? What about a list for Oscar winning movies for supporting roles just so this movie gets on a list?
Has a few quality laughs, and it's worth a look for those that like a self-reverent look at the martial arts genre crossed with a typical cartoon comedy.
I saw this in a French theatre and while I do speak some french, it wasn't quite enough to understand it all the time. Still, it was clear that it was a film of quality.
A very entertaining and stylish western with some classic scenes, but, when distilled to its essence, its plot is a fairly simple "follow the money" story.
A delightful rom-com told in an ingenious non-chronological way. Critics will say it reaches for the indie audience too hard, but I say it's simply sweet.
A mediocre script and lack-luster momentum drag this movie down. Performers work well with what they're given, but nothing in the film allows the audience to connect.
Visually impressive, yes; It's an endless display of visual skill and and achievement in film making. But, Avatar's story, while well told for what it is, is nevertheless familiar, predictable, far from satisfying and loaded with schmaltzy allegory.
Give Cameron an award for achievement in special effects, but consider taking away his Titanic oscar.
For an action movie, I find this movie to be remarkably slow-paced. Slow-pace can be fine, but I find it rather unjustified in this film because the suspense is just not there.

The first hour of this film is fantastic and truly worthy of its oscar. The second hour is a miserable piece of trash that sullies the first.Movie comment on Syriana

A dangerous love story mixed with a compelling mystery and the mesmerizing film-making of Billy Wilder make this a film you need to see. Fantastic!Movie comment on The Hurt Locker

A film alive with tension and danger, but one that also over-stays its welcome and becomes lost in played out war-clichés.I won't be surprised if it wins best picture, but I believe films like "Up in the Air" to be superior.

A movie that is consistently chuckle-worthy and at times laugh-out loud hilarious. It is also the first movie that made me cry in years.Interesting, intelligent, and still very accessible. Highly recommended for a nice light romantic comedy about life and death.

You really have to see the Director's cut. It's a far superior film to the original.Showing items 551 – 575 of 576
