I was excited to see this film and relive my past. However, I didn't expect Jakob Dylan to play the music of my past. I would have much preferred to listen to the originals.
At the auction at the beginning of the film men are talking about man in space and going to the sun or the moon. One man was adamant it was never going to happen cos the sun is too hot and pieces keep falling off the moon. Yet just 7-8 years later........it happened.
The film represents present day situations with families with limited resources who can't catch a break. Rosie is the stalwart mother who has more patience than most people possess who holds the family together.
The visuals in the film were nice. The descriptive singing I just muted and read the subtitles. I never got why Mongryong never contacted Chunhyang for three years. Maybe I missed the reasoning.
