Lumiere Brothers is why it made a list. There's lots of videos and art work that is similar to a famous artist but if you can't sell the brand aka the artist, the art isn't worth anything.
There's many short on this site that consist of things like someone walking around their backyard filming what's there. Lot's of other people did it to but they aren't considered artists, so nobody cares.
It's like the little kid that was sold to everyone as being able to paint. A little more research is done and it's found out that the dad used to paint the same style but didn't get anywhere with it. Even though he films the kid painting, the kid never does the same level of work so he makes excuses but still claims the kid can do it. So when people think the kid painted a certain picture, it's worth something. When people think the same picture was done by the dad, it isn't worth anything.
The painting is the same but it's the artist/brand that gets people to buy.
The same thing works in music too. If your everyday normal Joe made the same music that Wesley Willis did, there's no way it would be as popular as it is now.
It wasn't made by Disney but if it ever pops up, you can be sure Disney will get it removed. I'm assuming the 6 people that have checked it considered the shots of the film strips good enough even though what's show isn't enough for the entire thing.
I think a lot of these could be changed as there's many more violent movies out there. A lot of these are more of a "nothing happens but then we have one scene, almost always near the end, that's has the graphic violence". Live Like A Cop, Die Like A Man is much more violent than a lot of these. How is Irreversible more violent than Traces of Death, which didn't even make the list?
This started out slow and awful. A film suffering from lack of editing. Halfway in it's picks up and actually goes somewhere. There's many better kung fu films that are more deserving of a space on this list.
Great movie that still relates to today's events. Too bad nobody learns anything like the reporter does and instead just makes excuses or blames someone else for what they did.
