I’m all for simple humor. But this has not dated well and I don’t believe it was ever truly funny. It’s boring, childish, and just lazy… There are many old films that are way more funny then this.
Guys farting after eating beans… that’s the level we’re talking about here.. And I’m sure you could make that funny with some effort, but this is just lazy…
This is what a blockbuster should be. Great fun, really enjoyed it.
Great cinematography (some beautiful shots of Kong in the sunset, behind fire and with the island backdrop), awesome visual effects, script isn’t special but does the job, great cast (maybe to many actually), nice decor and setting, good humor and enjoyable action. And John C Reilly is awesome as ever.

So this is just a silly anime with a cult following proclaiming it to be something it is not.
Awesome! Great atmosphere, right from te start. Glass pinion vibes. Fun and unpredictable. Slasher meets murder mystery, however there’s no question who the murderer is, it’s all of them haha. Really enjoyed this one, lots of fun!
Very stylish and even weird at times. Not a historical biopic just plainly listing the facts and history, but more of an artistic, impressionistic portrayal of the life and work of Tesla. Think it suits, since the subject has lots of mystery around it.
Interesting experience, enjoyed it. Gave me the feeling of discovery and wonder. And of course it left me wondering if Tesla was really close to a world changing invention and what could have happened had he succeeded.
Fantastically weird, surreal and dark. Visually stunning with beautiful images and great lighting, all in vibrant black and white. Like others say, not much story, but an awesome experience. (And some amazing ‘eyebrow acting’ haha)

But the movie is over explaining on one hand while the message is not that deep on the other. I hear a lot of people being confused about the point it’s trying to make.

Very unique. Amazing cinematography which produces beautiful shots and creates a perfect atmosphere. The story is told in a very intimate way, by zooming in on the two protagonists.
Great setting, great buildup in the story. The characters fit nicely; Huston is great as the prospector archetype (he was one of the first that sprouted the cliche probably). Bogart plays beautifully and the buildup in his character is perfect.
