Loved this movie! I just wish in racing movies they would race at the tracks they are supposed to be racing at. Epically one as iconic as Daytona being replaced with Auto Club Speedway in California.
Okay so it's sad that this movie isn't good. It's sad because the cinematography, and production design is great. Especially considering the budget. But this story.... it's hard to use the word story because their isn't one. It's a bunch of random things that don't go together. The directing could be a lot better too. Like someone else said cuts to black way too much.
This was awful. Just awful. There's always one movie every year that has no business being nominated, or even mentioned with the other nominee's. This year it's this movie.
Can they go ahead and change the title on this movie. I do like the old title better though. This movie was awesome though. Tom Hardy is the best character in the movie. Shia's not annoying (didn't know that was possible.)
"It's hard not to get romantic about baseball." Being a big baseball fan that line really got me. I don't think you need to be a big baseball fan to enjoy this movie. I do think to understand how truly moving, and powerful this movie is you do need to be a big fan.
This movie isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It's still better than half of the crap Dreamworks puts out. I know this isn't as good as Wall-E, or Up. But the first Cars is the reason they were able to make those movies. The first Cars had a budget of 120 million. But it made over 10 billion dollars in merchandise alone. Because of this Wall-E was able to have a 180 million dollar budget, and Up was given 175 million. If Pixar makes one bad movie every like 6 or 7 years to get enough money to fund better ones. Then who cares?
A lot of people try and say it's not geared towards kids like the book was. The problem is most people haven't read the book since they were kids. The book was just as "scary", and "depressing." If you even watch the bonus features with Maurice Sendak he talks about how the book was very controversial when it first came out. It also doesn't veer that far from the book. People seemed to get mad that he ran away from home in the movie instead of his room transforming. He imagines himself running away though. If you pay attention in the begging you can see him playing with a toy boat. Like the one he sails over there in. You also see the wild things houses made out of pine straw on his dresser. You also see some of the wild things as clay figures on his dresser. He was in his room the whole time. That's why the mom didn't go searching for him or anything. A lot of people are so quick to judge when they just weren't paying attention.

It's not non stop action like Fury Road, and runs a little long. Still a very good movie though!Movie comment on Something Evil
