Despite Tom Hardy - this movie couldn’t keep my attention at all. If one were to ask me what happened in it I really wouldn’t know. It was just boring for me but at least the accents were silly and the costumes looked nice!

After seeing so many negative reviews of this movie I was skeptical but I saw it anyway and really enjoyed it. Of course it’s dumb humor and probably really bad in general but it worked for me.
Some stupid fun, I guess, but painful to watch at times…Tom Hardy was great as always and Reese Witherspoon is just so cute, in my opinion.
To be honest, as others have mentioned, the ending was bad. I can’t believe anyone would
choose Chris Pine‘s character over Tom Hardy‘s…
The most shocking thing in this movie (for me as a German) was suddenly seeing Til Schweiger on screen!
Overall, alright for what it is.
I find the acting, especially by the children, quite good. The cinematography and sets/costumes are very nice as well.
Due to an at times unintentionally funny script, the movie is definitely entertaining. The last part of the
movie seems very rushed and is dissapointing. Also, sadly none of the intended scary scenes worked for me and the horror in this movie as a whole falls flat.
All in all: Alright but not scary enough for a horror movie, in my opinion. I recommend watching it with a group of friends.
