The seasons (currently 3) are very distinctive and separate, essentially three completely different shows.
Unfortunately only the first season impresses and merits watching. Season 2 is a tepid bore best skipped, and season 3 struggles to gain momentum making it a questionable time investment.

Any comparison to the excellent Zootopia would be very unfair so lets not go there.
Recommended mostly for fans of the games, others have no real reason to grab it, honestly.

This show has almost nothing in common with the Marvel comic origins. Obviously Hulu doesn't have the rights to it, so everything including names and powers are tweaked just enough to escape legal issues.
They didn't even keep the original chest pentagram that Marvels Daimon Hellstrom (Son Of Satan/Hellstorm) has in the form of a birthmark.
In the show, it's just some random squiggles, supposedly scars from being carved up as a kid by his serialkiller demon father with a mystical knife. Yeah, they did that.
The ending is a fierce slap in the face, every ounce of intelligence and rational thought has long since been thrown out the window and we're left with a horrifically cringy and nonsensical cliffhanger. Please, no more seasons.
This Star Trek fan thoroughly enjoyed the partly poignant return of The Captain.
Gratuitous fan service throughout, something rarely seen in ST history. The lower paced storytelling suits the aged protagonist well and breaks out of the classic ST envelope at times, but don't worry;
we still get a properly Trekky series conclusion.
Recommended.

Featuring angels, demons, witches, an eleven-year-old Antichrist, a good boy, Doctor Who references and a great many cameos from top British actors. You're in for a challenge if you try to spot them all!
As a side note, I can mention that it's not inherently blasphemous so it should go down well even with more religiously sensitive people. This stems from the hands-down brilliant writing and not from trying to avoid offending anyone.

Why they felt the need to change the script so much is beyond me. I guess like most brutal graphic novels, it had to be toned down for the new format and rewritten to better fit a standalone movie rather than being a piece of a story spanning John Constantines whole life over 300 episodes.
But rewriting Mike Carey's work is simply doomed to fail, perhaps reminiscent of the botched Ecce Homo painting (Potato Jesus meme)... knowing J.M. DeMatteis potential, it's very upsetting how this script turned out so much worse than the original.
They rewrote and f*cked up rather important details like how Chas
wasn't even involved in the Newcastle incident
, or Tricia
actually being Chas' granddaughter
, or Beroul
being himself and NOT actually being Nergal in disguise
, or Mictlantecuhtli
being double-triplecrossed by John and is eventually driven out of Tricia, NOT killed (killing a Death God? come on, that's a bit much even for John)

Asa the healer, a.k.a. "the Nightmare Nurse" and the Queen of Angels i.e. the living embodiment of the city of Los Angeles
, and there was never a
mind wipe to make Chas forget John, or Renee and Tricia forgetting Chas, that was just stupid

As the animation goes, it's well done and John is voiced brilliantly by Matt Ryan, who also played John Constantine in the shortlived TV series "Constantine". (Another show with great potential and a brilliant lead, killed by the awfully idiotic script.)

Worth watching? Yeah! Just forget the origins and enjoy it for what it is.

I'd say that the first Maze Runner was at least conceptually intriguing (while still being a rather poor movie), but by the time we get the third movie... there's only a pathetic attempt at a script left, with a talentless cast stuck in moronic director hell.
May we never see the likes of this rancid tripe again. It brings a tear to my eyes that this abortion survivor raked in 200+ million US dollars.
