I liked the movie, but I must admit the plot is paper thin. It's almost like there wasn't a plot at all and everything just happens for no reason. Still it was pretty entertaining to watch.
My only real complain is that the movie is very loud. Aspecially the start. I think they noticed this and the movie is way less loud during the end. I just wish they have put the noise down from the very beginning. I have also heard that the studio mandated that this movie played loud in theatres. That is really stupid decision and hopefully I have not heard correctly. It's pretty much trying intentionally to make your movie worse.

I think the problem in this documentary is that it doesn't seem to have an idea what the documentary is about. It makes it really difficult to keep up with and I don't think after watching I even can say what it was about. Seemed like 5 random documentaries edited into one.
I can easily see why all the Oscar buzz as the movie is utterly beautiful to watch. Every scene is such a perfect cinematography that it's too bad the plot is so pointless and utterly boring that I cannot even understand what the movie is about.

I watched this movie as a Mystery Film in the local theatre and I was very much pleased. I agree with mosts that the plot is boring and nothing happens basically in the runtime of whole movie, but I did like it. What made me like it even more was Rooney Mara's smile which was amazing. I have not seen her smiling like that in any other films I've seen. It was very surprising to realise that it's Mara playing the lead.. The smile reminded me of Alison Lohman or Audrey Tautou even. Can't really describe in words what I mean, but it was amazing.
Always when watching this I have a strong feeling that cast had really good time shooting this movie. It's not Nielsen's best ones, but I don't think it's that bad.

1 joke, 100 deliveries. It was fun for a while and I think this should be edited into a one 30 min episode. With a full feature length film it loses its interest so fast and becomes boring.

I do like Les Miserables. The story is amazing (it's one of my favourites) and the musical is so good. But with Mr. Crow's singing I just cannot watch this version at all. It's by far my least favourite version. I even like the non-musicals above this one.
