A disturbing look at the darkest parts of the human heart. I have been desensitized to violence in movies, but I could barely watch the whole thing. The most horrible thing about this movie is that you realize there was a whole society that revolved around a human sacrificial religion. Truly terrifying.

The fighting is great... the scene where he fights up the stairs is one long continuous shot... and it's fantastic.
Someday, I'll get around to editing out all of the fluff and making it one long martial arts fight movie - it's not like that would hurt the plot.

If you like gunfire and realism - you have to watch this movie, if only for the main gunbattle. Sometimes I'll just watch the gunfight with a bunch of friends and everyone loves it.
I finally got around to watching it - 11 years late - and I loved it. It's crazy, Hollywood blockbuster bad science, over the top nonsense - but I thought it was incredible. The acting was great, the suspense was well done, and the ending was perfect, and maybe a little emotional.
This would be my most favorite zombie movie of all time - if they had used REAL PEOPLE for the zombies. The first time a zombie roars and his jaw drops a whole friggin foot and wiggles - I just couldn't take it. Totally lost me with the cgi. 28 days later was much scarier because they used real people.

This movie is AWESOME. If you like revenge movies, this is a must see. There is no more righteous cause than a father seeking to rescue his kidnapped daughter from the clutches of sex slavers. When he shoots a bad guy (white skin or otherwise) you will cheer.
The original was much better. Sure this had far superior special effects, but they ruined the whole point of the story with mother earth eco-nonsense. It's like comparing the original Star Wars movies with Episode 1 - Phantom Menace.
This movie was a huge disappointment. Think about the amazing things you could do if you could teleport yourself anywhere! They did the standard things - bank vault, pyramids, the Colosseum, but managed to make it boring. How you can ruin that concept is beyond me... but they did. Corny and not a "watch again" movie.
I just hope that someday, someone takes this idea and makes a good movie with it.
It surprised me how they kept the suspense level up even though you knew how it would end. I liked it. In my opinion, any movie that focuses on killing Hitler has limitless entertainment value... everyone wants him to die.
