I've seen two or three adaptations of King's books and I have to admit that they were all quite mediocre, with the only exception of Shining. I think that the original stories are too intricate and elaborate to be adapted easily into movies.
Weird, weird, weird adaptation of Forster's novel O_O It adds elements that in the book are only mentioned or slightly suggested and the end is completely different. I mean, you can write whatever you want but at least don't call the movie " A room with a view" , but “The interpretation of A room with a view". Besides, even the tone of the narration is changed: if the book is a sort of comedy, where Forster mocks English society and its conventions, here everything is surrounded by a thick and grey veil of disappointment, sadness and repressed feeling.
Argh, this movie was a total let down . The premises are interesting and the main character is played by a good actor, but the development of the story is not only confusing, but it also disregards the good impressions given by the beginning. It’s just a bad mix of horror movies' clichés; besides it doesn’t even make you laugh ù_ù
Well, my head is still hurting from too much crying, but I admit that I am peaceful. What we have here is a touching description of the nuances and the different shades that are hidden behind the expression "assisted death"; choosing to die is a mix of practical and poetic gestures, it's a personal decision, but has gigantic consequences on who is left behind. What I feel right now is confusion, I have to reconsider, to reshape my opinion on this issue, but I firmly believe that every human being who has a clear mind, owns the right to decide his/her own destiny.
A really good movie about irish history between 1920-1922; Loach does not takes sides, he gives a clear vision of the political situation and the abuse of Britain and the violence of Black and Tans. I wonder how some journalists had the courage to compare Loach to Leni Riefenstahl O_O He has shown simply the thruth, not hiding the violence of IRA.
Bad, bad movie. A predictable story about a spoiled rich man, who doesn't want to grow, but at the end “redeems” himself (I found him extremely irritating and stupid); the film is not funny (even if it tries so hard) and the actress who plays Naomi is soooo bad O_o Really, almost the same expression throughout all the movie. And the end is not sweet or cute, it’s just dumb and unrealistic.

It's a good movie, but, in my opinion, it tends to be "too much" in some points; it's not very balanced ^^But, again, it's a very good movie and Portman deserved an award ^^
