This is the first movie by the director Theodoros Angelopoulos that I have managed to watch, and frankly I was not prepared to like it. At the beginning of the film, it was a bit hard to follow, but later I caught on and learned to enjoy its dreamy yet mystique vibes. It definitely has a distinguished style and theme that I would love to see more in movies. I loved how it delivers confusion without giving out direct or clear answers. It gives you the freedom to understand what you want to understand between the lines and keeps the rest a refined mystery.
One of the fanciest cinematography of all time. The pace is perfect, as if reading a literary work. The cast and their acting is flawless. The movie as a whole is so artistic and charming yet so real. Its after taste is even better.
