Absolutely hated this!. Everyone involved should be embarrassed. I am not easily offended, but this had by far the worst language and most sex I have ever seen in a mainstream movie. Went on forever at almost 3 hours. Scene after drawn out scene of the same stuff over and over. Don't waste 3 hours of your life like I did.
My wife and I found it very tedious after a while. Their endless attempts to impersonate a particular line or scene over and over became very annoying. By the way, the only good impression was of Michael Caine. The rest were crap.
The first 30 minutes are so incredibly boring. There are several jump scares that had my theater buzzing. The story goes off the deep end in the climax.
I know the point of the movie was to be disturbing and it succeeds at that. However, this has to be the most depressing and bleak movie I've ever seen. The never ending group rape scene may be realistic, but was just revolting to watch. Don't waste your time on this movie.
Agree the peformances were all very good. Nolte had several emotional scenes. The climatic end fight was tense and emotional, but the fights overall were not that well done or that realistic. Would like to have seen another scene or two between the brothers. Definitely recommend it though.
