Started watching this randomly, not knowing anything about it, and was beyond surprised. Reminded me a bit of Jaque Tati's M. Hulot films, especially Play Time. Does a good job of blending comedy with communist era absurdism. But more importantly, it somehow manages to make Warsaw look halfway pretty.
Wouldn't recommend. Super disappointing as you get towards the end. Feels like the writer had no idea how to conclude things and just gave up half way through the second half of the film. Things start making less and less sense and then the horror and suspense also disappears.
Hits close to home if you've had one of those days or weeks where you just can't find a single moment of silence. Not to mention the frustration and anger at having to deal with inconsiderate jackasses.
You can find this on google video. It's interesting to say the least. A bit muddled at times, but I suppose that's to be expected when the entire thing hinges on a characters drug fueled hallucinations.
Absolutely fantastic in every way. The only disappointing aspect comes with realizing that William Petersen never really had a role in any other great films. Sad to see his talent wasted away on CSI
