In 2000, the Danish Fassbinder expert, Christian Braad Thomsen, wrote an essay book describing 100 of his favorite films, including bios of the respective directors.
The book was called "Drømmefilm", "Dream Films" in English.
No silent films are included as Braad Thomsen believes that when the film medium -- when it was silent -- was an "incomplete medium".
