Hollywood - the centre of the American (and in many ways, global) film industry lies at the heart of the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. The city has played host to thousands of films and television programmes, and boasts some of the most recognisable settings in cinematic history. With a population of 18.5 million in the greater metro area, Los Angeles is a thriving global metropolis. It's expansive highways and boulevards, warm weather, sprawling footprint, and surrounding hillsides all have added to the city's unique character.
